Sunlight worked to Greg’s advantage as he achieved a hard gloss coat on his Academy 1/48 scale Hawker Hunter F.6. He says, “The model was painted on a dowel jammed up its ‘tailpipe,’ sort of a Hunter popsicle. I stuck the dowel into a coffee can full of rocks so it wouldn’t tip over and set it in the sunshine. As I walked by, I thought the model against the blue sky looked really cool, so I shot the picture.”
