Interior detail of Takom’s 1/35 scale King Tiger inspired Kerry to make it a cutaway. “To me, it was a shame to close up all that amazing detail; it just begs to be seen,” he writes. “It took me two months, including the metal tracks, to assemble, having to straighten out the brass ‘wire’ by rolling it on a glass sheet with a steel ruler, which allowed it to be used for the pivot pins. Literally, it is a kit with a kit within a kit — and a lot of fun to build.”
