Bill Huffman

Snoqualmie, Washington

Bill started building this sci-fi World War II diorama based on the Castle Wolfenstein games in April 2022. As you’d expect for someone who prefers to build by hand, the diorama is mostly scratchbuilt but does include a couple of 3D-printed skeletons. Those familiar with the video games will recognize the two subterranean levels representing a mission with in-game upgrades and medical packs. A Trumpeter 1/32 Messerschmitt Bf 109F-4/Trop is the centerpiece above ground, with 1/35 scale figures salvaged from other kits from kits, and Bill kit-bashed and scratchbuilt the rest. He used LED lighting that he worked into walls made from foam-board insulation.
