Built this for a friend of mine who served with the 18th MP in Vietnam. Still doing a LOT of learning as well as trial and error, and this kit was a very good chunk of practice for me in a large variety of techniques, like preshading, oil washes, lots of sanding/filing, etc. It was just a very big project for me to get it to where I have it at this point. I noticed after taking the pictures that the lights and wipers still need some color but other than that I am very happy with this!

Kit: Revell 1/48 Huey Hog

Paints Used: Mr. Surfacer, Model Master, Tamiya, Alclad

Modifications: Cockpit side windows. Decals printed with inkjet printer. Otherwise stock/out-of-box.

Time to Complete: 5 months (not continuous)

impressive, Todd. Very well done. You certainly overcame the difficulties of the kit in fine fashion.

Looks pretty decent.  Good job on it.  I don't think the 18th MP BDE had helicopter gunships though.  Still looks good.

Very nice. CoolYes

I have the same Revell kit and you've done a far better job than I ever could (mind you that's the case with most people's models compared to mine I think).

Thanks a bunch for the compliments, guys!
