1/72 Italeri Apache

Compared to the Hind I made from Italeri (which I thought was bad Airfix standard) this was more in line with Tamiya quality. A nice build.

Nice looking Apache! Thumbs Up [tup]     Thanks for showing it! Smile [:)]

Now I see what stands out about it... check the positioning of the lower canopy rim:

I like your display base! Thumbs Up [tup]

Take care,

Frank

Not too bad.  Couple things though.  As already pointed out, the canopy is off.  The frame should blend into the fuselage seamlessly up front.  There should be a frame painted along the lower edge as well.  There shouldn't be a seam on the rear exhaust coolers either, just on the engine panel hinge point.  Main rotor blades should be flat black, not OD.  Overall, the helo should be darker, Helo Drab is the actual color, FS#34031, available from Testors in their Model Master line.  Hellfire missiles should be Helo Drab as well, not white.  Pretty good effort.  A few color corrections and a little more attention to detail and it will look great.  Good job.

Lookin good!  There are a few things that could be done to make it more accurate, but not bad!

As Gino said, the Hellfires are the wrong color.  They should be flat black, though.  All Army Hellfires are flat black with yellow bands if they are live missiles and have US ARMY stenciled on the sides.  Also, it doesn't look like it from some angles, but the main rotor should be flat black.  With the helo drab CARC paint that the Army currently uses on its helicopters, it is very easy to mistake for flat black in some lighting conditions.

Hope that helps!
