Scale-Model Helicopter Dream Survey
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, August 25, 2005 5:10 PM
Greetings Helo fans!?!

I'm sure this has been done before and again and again...

But once this post has plenty of replies, which I'm hoping it will, this post will be sent to many manufacturers who have made scale model helos. Just list what you'd like too see, scale kits, decals, aftermarket sets, figures, etc,...

So lets begin:

Definitely any Hughes UH-1 series in 1/35 ('cept the 'C' version-it's already been done), preferrably Vietnam era. I mean a detailed yet basic UH-1, maybe door mounts for M-60s. Even better? Flexible ammo chutes (photo etch) included.

"Chinook and Mi26 in 1:35"???? My my, those darn Americans with their biiiig houses!
A 1:35 Mi 26 wouldn't even fit in my country, let alone my modelling room!
Apart from a (re-) release of the MD500 series in 1:35 I'd stick to 1:48 and ask for civil stuff:

AB139, B206L, B407, B214ST, S76, S92, AS332, EC155.

I would like to see a lot more versions of the U.S.Navy SH-3 Seaking Helicopters ; Especially with an optional rotor and tail fold in the 1/72 scale . [ I know there's lots of Westland versions on the market ; but only being a medio'cre scale modeler -I prefer to build straight from the box , "scratch building" I haven't quite perfected as yet ].

Italeri makes the 412 in 1/72 scale as the CH-146.
And for those that ask for a Mi-26: Zveda is making one in 1/72
Also, fujimi is making a BO-105 in 1/72. I want both! Smile [:)]
Anyway, here's my list:
1/48:
MD-530F with weapons options.
Bell-412 with optional seats, radar/sensors and wire cutters.
Ka-52 with weapons options.
Puma with exocets.
Any scale:
MD-902
EC Panther (is there a kit of this one?)

1/24th Scale AH-1G and OH-6A with different choices in Vietnam unit markings and sharkmouths, builder option on weapons stores, full crew sets and opening inspection panels to show interior and component details. Now get to it, Revell/Monogram/Tamiya/Hasegawa/Trumpeter/Panda!
Life is tough. Then you die.

Are you sure you're not kidding? Tongue [:P]
The 1/35 Kamov sound like a great idea.
And finally: Is there a 1/48 Mi-28?
