Squadron's prices were never the 'lowest' in town.....I'm willing to bet that the retail price will be around 100.00 to 130.00.

Pre sale on line prices can be off at times.

Hey guys,

Not to hijack the thread further, but William and I have worked together a bit on a few things and due to some personal issues he had to step back from working on producing these kits. We'd worked the artwork for several Cobra decal sheets and were hopefully going to do an AH-1G in 35th. From what I know, both the 53s and the Snake are still planned, but moving from Germany to the US and dealing with all the associated BS that goes along with it is quite a step. William's always been a stand-up guy with me and has followed through on his word in several interactions between us.

I agree with Randie, though. An update every now and then would have been great, simply to keep us informed on whatever the status was.

William, we're all pulling for you here. You've got some amazing projects in the works and I know we'd all like to see them immediately if not sooner! Your artwork looks great, any idea when we'll see some of those figures?

All the best!

Sign - Ditto [#ditto]

Randie has it to a "T". I hope NightFlight does come through with it. I have my doubts based on prior emails with Mr. Beasley reguarding questions as to progress, price, etc., that went unanswered and then other dealings with him on the above issues. Based on his prior business practices, I doubt we will see anything. I fully agree with the suggestion to start out smaller and go with some figures to start the business and graduate to bigger projects. That makes sense to me.

Apparently, you aren't reading into the posts.
I, and I think even Gino, only wish him the best. But, as was stated previously, any news would be better than no news and for almost three years, no news is what we have got. Not even an, "Okay guys, here's what I've got so far."
Everytime you see a post by Mr. Beasley, it is just like this one. As in the old song 'Charley Brown', "Why's everybody always pickin' on me?"
Mr. Beasley, I am sure has good intentions. As you stated, no money put out, no loss.
I, if I may, would like to offer Mr. Beasley some constructive criticism. He was offering the universe when apparently he should have started out with a star or two.
He had something listed on his now defunct website that is sorely needed and would have been a lot less expensive to start out with and that was crew figures.
Eduard didn't start with complete kits. They started with PE sets.
Cobra Company didn't either, only some of the finest resin update and correction sets on the market today.
And I'm sure there are others.
If Mr. Beasley would just look, carefully, at the aircraft and helo forums, he would see the growing need for scale figures. Not just pilot, co-pilot and gunner figures. But, a lot of the modelers, myself included, would buy up any good quality figures. Ground crew personel and GIBs, both modern and Vietnam era, are sorely needed in both 1/48 and 1/35.
In my humble opinion, this would be a good starting point for Night Flight. He can still work on his H-53 project while producing product and, eventually the capitol to complete his, and our, dream.
As for other company's being trashed? You need to check through the forums. I have seen a bunch of trashing.
Sorry to be so long winded, guys.

Keep your fingers crossed. Maybe they will be Trump's next big surprise. We can only hope. I wouldn't bet on ever seeing one from Fly-by-Night I mean Night Flight though.

As long as you didn't put out money I don't see what your rub is. Personally, I really appreciate any competition and choice in helicopter models and I'm rooting for Night Flight. Heck, even the major companies announced releases that never came to be. I don't see you slamming MRC and Panda for not following through.

I've got enough unbuilt kits to last me awhile and if someone comes out with the subject before NightFlight I'll buy it. If not, I'll wait (politely if not patiently).

It is unfortunate that WFB is taking heat because he took the time to get our input and announce his intentions on these types of forums and hangs out here. I've never noticed any big companies coming out of the closet like that. Only hint I see that anyone looks for input is the occassional poll that doesn't even have helos listed as choices. Even then I don't have faith that those polls get seen by the manufacterers.

Best of luck NightFlight.

The above lineage of the 1/35 Chinook has been confirmed by Chris of Cobra Company. He was the tech advisor for MRC when they were working on it. It should be a great kit. Can't wait.

Don't forget about the older and soft on DETAILS Aurora 1/48 Chinook CH47-A

An ebay find item that cost too much for what it is.

MRC had the chance ONCE to do a Hook in 1/35 but missed out.....who knows .....they might be thinking about it again?

It's a 1/35 scale Chinook.

Plans for a 1/48 Hook? I've heard rumors and that kit is on a lot of wish lists around here.

Right now the only Chinook game in town I can think of are the 1/72 kits by Matchbox and Italeri

Hi there! As I've never seen this thread before, I'm going to ask probably a dumb question: Is this a 1/32 release? If so is there plans by anyone for a 1/48 version, or has this already been released somewhere?

Thanks!

My local Hobby shop keeps a very good eye on this stuff, the guy who does the ordering is a BIG helo fan and he said that he would talk to a buddy at Horizon Dist about what they know about this kit.

No matter what ......I'm thinking Spring of 2006 if that soon.

He says that the TEST SHOTS are promising because they are done in the GREY styrene.....and they look to be final TEST pics indeed!

If Trumpeter had NO plans of releasing this kit you would not see these pics from any kind of show and at that far in production.

It has been worth the wait!!

I think I just passed out looking at those photos.

My wife commented that I have the most expensive hobbies. My only reply? "Yes, yes I do."

December, eh? Before Christmas?

Chief Owl.
I, too, am one who had made a comment or two of your demise.
I was one who was really pulling for you. But, as Gino said, it's been almost 3 years and nada, zilch, nothing. Just smoke and mirrors.
I still, wish you the best but, I ain't holdin' my breath!! If you had just shown us something, anything. If you had updated your website with a little news more often than once a year it would have been nice.
All I have to say in closing is if you plan on getting this show on the road? You better get going because Trumpeter is taking the bull by the horns and just might leave you walking down the old proverbial road, kicking rocks wondering what happened.

Until I see a product, I won't believe that your company will produce anything. You could at least show us something. It has been almost 3 years and you keep making more excuses and promises of a 1/35 CH-53 kit and pilots, etc. Where has your website gone as well? Don't worry, I only post on a few forums, not all of them.

You dont really need to run Photoshop for zooming the photo. I use ACDSee for image browsing and viewing. Its very easy to use and is much faster.

Are you referring to the second shot - the one that's head-on? Because those rotors look like they could very well fold indeed.

Adobe is a software manufacturer responsible for fine products such as Acrobat (for viewing, creating and editing PDFs), Illustrator (a vector based illustration program), InDesign (best page layout and graphic design application out there. period.) and Photoshop (the best photo editing software available). They've also got a punch of other applications for video editing such as Premire and After Effects and Web Development tools such as GoLive. www.adobe.com

PE64 probably ran the JPEGs thru Photoshop and zoomed in to look at the detail - that's what I did.
