Those folks will remember but Islamo-fascist and the Mainstream media wont, all we are likely to hear from them is why there wasn't more help provided faster.

QUOTE: just trying to keep the site relevant to modeling. Plenty of chat boards and forums out there for pilots and helos as well. Since it is a modeling site, lets stick to modeling relevant issues.

Dragonfire,
I LIKE pics like these.....of actual operational situations........nice pics.
Sure, this thread might not actually tell me how to paint and detail a Hook, but still, thanks for the great pics.
Cheers, brother.

Cheers, LeeTree

Threads showing actual operational use of helicoptors can provide a diorama idea for someone. We all knew American helicopters were providing relief assistance in Pakistan, but I had not seen any on the news. Could have been Chinooks, -53Es, Black Hawks, Pave Hawks or Navy -60s; I didn't know until I saw these pix (I know other types are being used, but at least I've seen something now)

I decided not to build my 1/48 UH-1N as a Marine Huey, but instead finish it as an Eglin-based USAF Huey that pulled people off of rooftops in New Orleans. Had I not asked about it on that thread, I would have never seen those screen captures that'll help me finish it in accurate markings.
