oh yeah,...I've been busy for the last 39 days with newborn son....he's gonna be a model builder too I bet.....maybe we should start out with the non-toxic glues and paints huh?...look how I turned out..heh, muhahah, hehehehhe, did you hear that voice?

Cheif, are you saying thai kit is already in pre-production and will be available in July?

Would be terrific if it had the 2nd set of weapons as well.  ;)

Seems a shame that the majority of the nose art decals included in the kit are virtualy identical to the decals included with the Revell UH-1H gunship release.

With so many units to choose from its a shame everyone copies each other.

Thanks for the mention Ray.  Here is the pic that shows how to correct the blades.

The middle blade is the kit part.  The top has been modified.  The bottom shows in red the areas to be removed to backdate the 212 blade. 

Overall it looks like a pretty good update to the Panda kit.  Too bad on only one M23 mount though.  Maybe Dragon will hear us and correct it in later releases.

yes  there out there now,  i just googled the kit and called a dealer  mines should be here in 2 days... will keep you posted..

He is referring to the Cobra Company update set, not the Dragon kit.

So how come there's no tail number for "The Widow Mrs. Jones" on the decal sheet?  And what's the deal with the font on the national insignia and the tail numbers?

Yes it is.  You can either leave it as is and not worry about it (most people won't know the difference), shave it down to make it more narrow, or.... 

get the Cobra Company Drivetrain Upgrade set.

If anyone has this kit, and is not going to use the markings for the bird with the bee with the #64 in it., I'd love to take them off your hands.

I purchased this kit with high expectations. Overall I wasn't let down, except as regards to the kit figures.

Upon dry fitting to the cockpit seats, none of them fit. I would presume that as the figures are manufactured seperately, that a lot of hacking, sanding and sawing is required.

I would be grateful if anyone could let me know if they have had similar problems and, if applicable, any remedies.

I used different cushions for the seats and had no issues with fit.  I think I used cushions from a Landrover.  You can see them below.

Once the figures are in place, you can't see the cushions anyways.

HeavyArty, I was eyeballing those litters in your Huey and litter hangers, did you make those or were they in a kit?  Very nice work, btw!!

Nope, the mics are just thin florist wire, bent to shape and with a small piece of plastic on the end for the mic itself. 

The litters are scratch, made of styrene rod and strip, and lead foil for the fabric.  There is a set available now in 1/32 from Fireball Modelworks though, as part of his UH-1H/V MedEvac inetrior set.  Fireball also has an open litter set in 1/32 as well.
