AH-1W: Help With This Device?
Posted by wooty on Sunday, March 9, 2008 10:29 PM

Hi There

Knowing that there are a few of you guys out there that specialize in the Cobra field, i thought that i might ask.

What is the tank looking thingy hanging around here?

I have a few Whisky builds comming up and thought this would be interesting.

Cheers

It's a fuel tank, used mostly for ferry flights.

Hey-

It shouldn't be too hard to scratchbuild.   The tank is 120 in long with diameter of 15 in.  It has just slightly pointed ends (almost circular).  The forward lug is 53 inches from the front of the tank.

 Good Luck,

Phil

isnt that an external fuel boost pump on top of the tank?

You are correct sir, it is indeed a boost pump.
