We were out on a date in my daddy's car

We hadn't driven very far

There in the road, up straight ahead,

A car was stalled, the engine was dead...

Oops. wrong last kiss!

~Very, very sweet scene coming together here Herr Feldmarshel. Unique to modeling but often seen in photos, the perfect choice for a vignette(a great spot for the Traction 11) The DOG is a bit of a monster

He's a big one(maybe this time you'll hear something besides "aaaaaawwww....he's sooooo cute.....") Really  Nice painting on him.

Very cute, Manny! A cool scene, for sure. I do agree that this doog is quite huge, scale-wise. I hope he fits into the scene when all is done. The scene could survive without him, if need be.

Great looking scene. I really like the figs. Who makes them? Looking forward to seeing more of this scene.

Outstanding!  Nobody can paint female figures better than you Manny... is she a waist zero or two?

I have to agree with Doog and others... the dog looks bigger than usual unless the lady had to adopt the biggest one from the dog pound for maximum protection from those horny Russkies?

I believe this was a "Junior Town" offering in resin...they make some really nice 35th scale female figs but are extremely hard to find...

I've had this set for a long while but didn't know what to do with it until the Tamiya car came out, which offers all kinds of dio possibilities...

Yeah, almost don't believe he is 35th scale but he came from a MASTERBOX kit of a German Sentry Post. My other 35th scale German Shephards are much smaller (Dragon offerings) and I have read that European breeds are smaller than most think.

I was thinking of putting him in the back seat with his head poking out of the rolled-down window...might find another home for him though...Big Smile [:D]

Good eye---my girlfriend actually asked the same thing before I even posted the pics...I guess I'll go back and draw them on...or maybe the stockings are in the Major's pocket?

From what I understand, nylon supply were very scare during the war that women didn't wear stockings but they sometimes would paint black lines on the back of their legs to fool men like us... very easily!

Looks to be a nice simple one. Personally, I'm looking forward to seeing more of this one.

Can you give some info on how you are painting the officers' uniform?

Her waist size is actually a 1...as far as the dog, maybe it isn't too out of scale after all:

I don't know--I'd say she has a date with the barber next, who'll shave the Cross of Lorraine in the side of her head for being a collaborator and sleeping with the Boche.

Nicely done figures, Herr Feldmarschall!

There are some well-done female figures at this site, too:

http://aurora-model.jp/e-index.html

Aurora Models in Japan.  They tend to have a look reminiscent of anime girls, though, or perhaps somewhat like the old Phoenix Model Developments figures.  But I think they have a human touch, especially the Luftwaffe auxiliaries in her catalog.

Manny, consider it as a good thing that there is no US distributor because you would have bought everything from this great website.  What the heck, I see couple of female figures I want to use for future diomaras! Tempting...

~Yeah I know, huh? Seriously cool figures there

I've been directed to that site before, but as hard as it is to fathom 2ooo Yen, ($22.30) +shipping, for example, is a little more than I like to spend on one figure....maybe someday to get just the right girl.....
