russian spetsnaz in the balkans
Posted by camo junkie on Friday, January 1, 2010 9:06 AM

hey guys. been awhile since i not only posted anything on this site (especially after the changes) but also having had anything done enough to post. well, this was for a contest build at another site that i took second place in.  it isnt spectaculiar as i ran out of time to completely finish it (i.e.* painting shadows amoung other things on my figs, etc.) however i thought i would still share it with the class! enjoy!  the building i hand made from hydrocal then used my dremil to make the cracks and scribe the bricks. the door is styrene and the rubble is a combination of that stuff that picks up spilled oil off the floor (dont know the name at the moment) and the bricks are from custom dioramics. i used a 4 x 4 clear styrene sheet that actually came with some dress shirts i bought for the glass. the bullet holes in the glass were made by drilling a small hole then "carving" the cracks with a sharp exacto blade! again, enjoy but keep in mind as i said i didnt finish this like i wanted to because of time but im still happy as i came in second anyway! i will finish this up the way i want to as i plan on taking this to a spring show! this was the only ref. pic i could find and used...

Nice work! Which Spetsnaz figures did you use for this diorama? I have plenty of pics from my time there if you need more reference for location.

Looks good camo!

I like the building , esp the glass.  Great job painting the figures too.

Holy crap...that is amazing...the figures are painted so well and the base details are very realistic.
