Tunnel Rats

I made this diorama for the Vietnam Group build. It depicts a U.S.Marine squad discovering an underground tunnel system and prepare to investigate

Thanks for looking and all comments are welcomed

Nice job.  Those guys were totally nuts, dealing with the booby traps, 2 steppers tied by their tails to the roof, not to mention the VC and NVA.  I gotta hand it to them, lot better men than I.

Very clever, the multi-levels worked out really well!

Yeah, those guys had some guts, I'd be more likely just to toss a few grenades down the hole!

They built grenade traps/holes in them, plus they ran for long distances.  Some were really a complete base including command post and hospital.  Only real way to clear them was a .45 and flashlight.

Really a very cool idea, and nicely executed, but shouldn't the "underground" soil be red clay as well?
