Thanks for all the kind words, you guys. Can't tell you all how much I appreciate the positive feedback.

Armour_freek, the snow was made using a Woodland Scenics product called Snow :) First, a mix of Snow and diluted white glue was applied with a brush. Later, after the figures and vehicles were in place, a fine drift of the same product was sprinkled over the entire dio, brushed away from the running water, then "frozen" in place with Scenic Cement (also from Woodland Scenics). Should be able to find both those items anywhere scenery products are sold.

Spectacular dio. It has all the elements of being one of the most original and imaginative dioramas in a long time. Its got it all: armor, soft vehicle, creek, road, snow, great figures and a good story. An excellent achievement. I definitely would love to see this one in FineScale.

woooooooo, excellent, excellent!!! The poor driver, getting hell from the boss, I love how he's hanging his head in shame....stuff like that makes dios stand out. Great scene over all, and you've done a great job with the snow. Keep it up!

But you've got to create some wheel marks on the snow from Kubel...

That's one powerful comment...I don't know that I would necessarily agree, but thanks very, very much!

HEY would it be too much trouble to bring this one to Hobby Island on a Saturday??? That would be really cool, there's a bunch of guys there in the morning that would love to see this, myself included.

Well...that's a three-hour drive for me...and if I did it on a Saturday I'd probably have to bring the whole clan along...but I'd LOVE to.

email me at drewclark@cox-internet.com and we'll work out some particulars :)

Thanks again everyone for the feedback!

Exciting indeed...I just wonder whether the driver is laughing on the inside...

zokissima, as promised, I put together a little run-through on how the scenery was done. It's at:

http://drucifersmodels.50webs.com/newdriver.html

I did it in a bit of a hurry and in a house full of screaming children, so if there's anything that's unclear just let me know and I'll try to shed some light.

Smile [:)]
