Posted by biffa on Tuesday, March 15, 2005 11:05 AM
hes my second dio, a few firsts for me,a snow scene with a whitewashed vehicle also the figures wer'nt that good so i tryed dolling them up a little to try make them fit better and lastly i scratched some stowage gear and a camo net all in all i was happy with the finished result and it was another good learning process for me and was a lot of fun thanks for looking, naturally all comments and advice are welcome

Looks great. The backgroud you used for the photos adds greatly to the realism.

Awesome piece of work. Love the snow! Can't get enough! A tight little composition and a good solid build. The photography and the choice of background really show this one off. Good job on all.

OUTSTANDING Ron!!! Smile [:)]

The worn trenchcoats, the tracks in the snow, the natural setting, all combine to make this a tremendous diorama, thank you!

Take care, Smile [:)]

A very tight and realistic looking dio. That B/W photo really makes it look like a 1940's pic. Nice job

thx guys, got really lucky with the pics, went out on the back deck the other morning and the sun was coming up through the trees and seemed to be perfect casting just the right shadows and right amount of light, i couldnt beleive the trees would fit so right as a background, the b/w one with the sun rays really suprised me as did all the pics when i got them on my pc, the morning sun actually gave me the impression that it was morning in the dio with the long shadows, im realising now that photographing my dios is as important as building them and as much fun, i did have an overhead but they were blurred but the next time its nice out i will try for another, thx again
and skar the fence was already broken when we got here,,honest,,Whistling [:-^]

WOW!! With the outdoor background, the lighting and the quality of your pics its eerie how real the shots look, especially the black and white.I love takin pics of WW II subjects in black and white, its a level of "authenticity", so to speak. Again an amazing job! Keep it up!Cool [8D]
