Umm...is this the official thread, or do you have one in the GB section. I think I may want to join, as it is a somewhat realistic deadline Smile [:)]

Okay, I'm game though it may be a bit more vignette than diorama... I have an interesting idea for something in 1/16th scale. Chuck Whistling [:-^]

What about an African Korps diorama, does this count as Europe?

I think I want in on this since I'm trying to start a dio and seem to need some incentive to do it. Mine will be most likely in Western Russia/Poland somewhere.

As for Africa, I would say no. I would love to have rundave in the group build; and even though the primary combatants were European, the combat itself was on a whole different continent. I would classify a European Dio as being set anywhere in France, the Low Countries, Germany, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Rumania, Hungary, Bulgaria, Greece, Yugoslavia, Italy, SAicily, (as it is part of Italy) Finland and Norway, in addition to Western Russia up- to the Urals.

Of course, that is just my My 2 cents [2c], the leader of this Group Build may decide for himself how he wants to set the parameters.

I'm also curious, when is the start date? I won't get started on this for a bit yet, as I have several other projects in the works.

I have a couple of ideas for WWII european dios, I have some projects still pending but I'd really like to take part as I'm new to dio building, could I join in a little later than the others?

Regards,

Darren.

Sign me up. I had a N.Africa dio planned but with the generous time frame for this build I'll probably do something set in Europe instead.

Hernando, I think I'll get in on this... I'm doing a defence of the Reich dio with a Panther G Late, fitted with Night Vision, and the time frame is awsome. As for Africa, to say that wasn't part of WWII is absurd! Nazis fought Brits and Americans, funny thought the Axis Italians were there too. Don't think Herr Rommel, or Gen. Monty would be too happy to find out that it wasn't part of the war!

Read the first post please. No one said it wasn't part of WWII, they were asking if it's applicable to this biuld, since one of the very first rules in the first post says that this is to be a dio for the European theater, so there's a discrepancy between that rule and the post name, thus the question.

No, no I haven't. This is in fact my very first posting in this forum. Sheesh. Smile [:)]
Yes, I've seen them, but that's because the owners did not move them there, or request to have them moved there. The point is, this GB has TWO threads, and one should be closed.
