Nice DIO!!

To add furthur on the comments concerning the condition of your pilot...

Typically, a human body, under ideal conditions, will decompose in as little as two weeks. The bloating phase of decomp will only last a few days after death, as bodily gasses accumulate within the body cavity. As decomp progresses, those gasses escape, usually aided by carnivores and scavengers that poke holes in the body.

Judging by the condition of the plane, your pilot has been out so long that there should be no bloat. Because he has on a flight suit, there may still be some soft tissue and skin, but for the most part, decomp should be pretty advanced.

But you know what, its your diorama, so if you like how the dead pilot looks, screw it, leave him as is!

Keep up the great work.

Boyd

Great stuff.
I prefer odd stuff like this over another immaculate plane/tank/etc parked somewhere.

As for the corpse same comments as I would make have arleady been made, skull and bloated body look odd next to the overgrown Plane.

I am a physical anthropologist, which basically means I work with human skeletal remains. From time to time I do forensic anthropology. For both of my fields, I need to know a lot about what happens to a body from "the moment life has left it".
