Stephen, your entire site is a WWI aircraft modelers dream come true! I just added it to my favorites! Thumbs Up [tup] ....and your review of Eduard's D.VII is one of the most in-depth reviews I've ever read anywhere on any subject! I can't wait to read the others! Wish I had seen it before I built my first one, but I'm even happier now since I also purchased a second. Wink [;)]

Could you post this link over on the WWI GB thread also? It would be a great reference for those embarking on their first WWI projects as well as for those who have a few under their belt (like me! Big Smile [:D] ).

I disagree wholeheartedly with both sentiments. I love 'em big. This is museum quality work.

What is that Dave Barry quote about hobbies and mental illness?

Seriously, though, talk about a way to fill up your days ... weeks ... months ... life?

what about Zokisitima's comment: "sick---seriously sick"

Sick is what the kids say when they mean "bad@ss". Maybe Zo meant that, or perhaps he meant to imply that the modeler has a mental problem or twelve. I can relate there, too.

I don't dislike German generals. But what have they done for me lately?

"You are a presempteous one, aren't you?"

Yes, I am very presumptuous, as are you. You presume to know when a dio has gotten too big and out of hand. Can you teach me how to be omniscient like yourself? I presume it has it's perks.

Except for spelling, of course. When the all-knowing misspell 'presumptuous'- can't you just drink the irony??!!

...yes, I can teach you; PM me and we'll start with lessons today...

...again you think my comments are literal while others are in jest...mine were "tongue in cheek, like the person who said: "this is sick"...and who told you I was "all knowing"?  There you go again....

...I still think you have a thing about German Generals....LMAO.....

PS: pull your dictionary out again and see if you can catch me in a spelling error...

Thanks ruddratt,  I would love to but some self appointed moderator here thinks I am a "self promoting (I'll censure the rest)".  The last thing I want to do is start problems. Just check my website and e-mail me from there.

Easy gents!  Manston / SteveM its just a misunderstanding.  I thank you sincerely for the kind comments.  Since the original comment about "sick" comes from neither a licensed therapist or a youth I will ignore it.  No worries.  Its just modeling.  The project did fill up a lot of winter months when I was in school.  Also I work shifts and since I had to stay on a regular sleep schedule I had to be busy while the family slept.

Are you strictly into WW I, or do you model other eras?

Greetings Sir;  Strictly - pretty much covers it.  1914-1918 with some overlap.  (I moderate an Early Aviation title on another forum).  I am also the archivist to lafayettefoundation.org

Essentilly it  grew becuse Shep Paine was right.  Large area / small scaled kit = lots of open ground.

Not sure I am familair with that theory by Shep. Can you eloborate? By the way, your work is very good. Have you built other large scale dios, perhaps the disspersement/hanger area of Jasta 1?
