Diorama in a Day (FV101 Scorpion dio)
Posted by ww2modeler on Monday, June 2, 2008 2:21 PM

Hi all, I just finished this. I started it at 10 this morning and finished it at 3. I was just in the mood to make something! Its foam covered with plaster and then painted. The bridge is toothpicks and popsicle sticks. The tree is woodland scenics. The Scorpion is a old toy I had. Its roughly 1/120 scale. All comments, criticisms, and questions welcome.

Thanks for Looking,

David

And here is was at 10 this morning!

On the bench:

1/35 Tamiya M26 Pershing-0%

1/144 Minicraft P-38J Lightning-50%

Numerous 1/35 scale figures in various stages if completion.

Looks rough.. lacks detail.. But for a diorama in just one day, beautiful! :)

I know........ It was just a fun little build so I thought I'd post it. What exactly looks rough to you??? I might work on it somemore so any specific suggestions are welcome.

Thanks,

David

well, just some suggestions: try to smooth the terrain slightly. Paint the bridge in a dark wood colour and make the ground... greener..   Just my own personal taste... But as said, It looks great for a one day build :)

Thanks, I proobly won't do anything to the ground  but I might fix the bridge color and greenness.

I may not be the best at groundworks and such, but I uploaded some videos to Youtube.com two weeks ago.. A two part movie about basic groundwork that is.. Might interest you?

Hope they might help :)  It's not really the "one day" thing you did..
