Finished Revell 1/48 B-29 Superfortress "Humpin Honey"

 Really good looking Superfort! It's a very nice tribute to the crew.

 Seeing it hanging from the ceiling, I can just hear those four Pratt&Whitneys roaring on takeoff (oops, the copilot forgot to close the bomb bays ).

 I can't believe you painted the canopy by hand. You must have a really steady hands.

That turned out great...I followed your other thread when you were building her, and really enjoyed it.

I agree with the Future...Jagdwolf, my other half swears by it.

Looking forward to 'future' threads from you...I learned a lot following yours!

If I had one criticism....maybe you might put some Future on fingertips and run it down the antenna thread to seal the fine 'hairs'. A wonderful build!

Just wanted to say thanks for all of your kind words, I apreciate it.

She's an awesome build, Tiny! Well done! I built that one in my early teens, and it was a bear to complete. Basically mine turned out pretty horrible (but I learned that it's not possible to get a good NMF drybrushing) But when I next go to tackle that one again, if it turns out half as well as yours, then I'll be satisfied!

Only one question.... How are you going to display that behemoth?

 Great build my friend!! I like how you dealt with the obsticles that you incountered and took notes for future builds..

 For an older Monogram kit, you sure did her justice as well as for the crew!! They would be proud of her!!

Rangers Lead The Way

Yes, nice job, Tiny, brings back memories of building this kit when I was in high school.  You did a nice job, I think the finish looks pretty good.  If you're worried about the shine or glossiness of the finish, you could always try using a spray of Future (Johnson's Kleer, outside the US) over the paint (though you would need an airbrush-try it on a future project-no pun intended).

It's a great kit, and a job well done (and more pictures are always welcome, too   )

Thanks alot guys, I plan on hanging her from the ceiling in my apartment with some fishing line...better use some heavy test line though!  My next project is a 1/48 Monogram B-17 Flying Fortress.  I wouldn't mind getting an airbrush for this one.  I've been dying to crack out an awsome cammo job on one of these planes so I need the airbrush and a little practice.  I also have a Atileri F-22 Raptor to do and I'd like to learn how to do weathering like I've seen in some of the other threads.  Those planes look so real, I'd love to try that.

Three weeks?  It woulda taken me longer than that to paint the cockpit.  Also wouldn't have turned out as nice as yours.  Give yourself a big ol' pat on the back for this one.
