Just an FYI guys, and I was pleasantly surprised, the Revell America is the exact same kit as the ROG, and I mean exact. Evidence is provided by a tag inside the sealed sprue bag that says made in Poland as well as being printed on the bag itself. Most ROG models are made in Poland. If you ever look at an ROG box, it's says made in Europe, not any specific country. So if you missed the ROG 1/72 F22, grab the RUS one instead. Won't be disappointed. In fact im sure its just a rebox because even the artwork is exactly the same.

As I get farther along, the nightly progress becomes less dramatic, more about details.  I was not convinced by my armament door placement and the directions are unclear on the matter.  I pulled up some photos and realized I needed to pull off the door and remount them at correct angles.  I also reattached the nose gear doors.

You can see my chosen weapon load.  2 AIM-9X sidewinders, 2 AMRAAMS, two JDAMS.  That should cover most situations.  Interesting to note that the 20mm cannon is closed when not in use.  Here's a better look at the vectoring nozzles.

Well since the markings provided are for the 1st FW Wing Commanders aircraft did it have the name of the pilot on the sheet?

Applied a light panel wash and finished it with dull lacquer.  Still to do are the vector nozzles and weapons, maybe a touch of detail color here and there (nav lights).

The decals are GREAT.  They snug down over a light gloss finish, needing almost no setting stuff.  However, I always use decal solvent.  The decals responded perfectly.  I also got the gear and gear doors together.  Next up is some light weathering (a brand new aircraft, so really just to pull out some panel lines and details, nothing more.)

Not surprised about Eduard.  They do nice details, I used their F-15 seatbelts in the cockpit (both use the ACES-II seat.)

The canopy is, like in the Viper kits (in the Rog boxing), molded in clear yellow, not amber. It looks strange, but trust me, after its painted it gives it the right golden tint.

Which weapons are you using that are supplied though, I meant. Juts all winders and slammers? Or are you putting a JDAM in there? Eduard makes precolored RBF tags. 

Thats interesting that your is amber tinted. Not sure if you have read the FSM review on this kit

It does say his model was un tinted, and i am pretty sure mine is also. Also says he had an issue with the suggested colours as some match the decals exactly, so will interesting to see how you get on with yours.

This kit looks pretty darned good, and the work I'm seeing in this thread looks great!

Hi, I'm still working on this.  I had finished the camo paint all pretty, but I put the tape on before the base color had cured.  The result was gooey tape stuff left behind.  I had to clean it up and start the paint over.  Here's my night's work:
