Yeah, I thought about that too ... there had to be a LOT of RF energy pumping out of those antennas, and the tail gunner would just be sitting there for hours on end, right between those two emitters ...

Doctors, of course, have a precise medical term for what can result from this - FLK. Funny Looking Kids.

Actually, the gunners are forward of those aerials, rather than right between them.. Plus there's a fair amount of armor-plate in the tail, and any RF energy would more likely result in thermal burns to exposed flesh, not Gamma or X-ray radiation-type poisoning... Dunno how hot they'd actually get ya though, since they're simply AI jammers on the sides...  The one in the center, between the guns, is the tail-warning radar antenna...

Hans, thank you VERY much!

Those help a lot with the little nuances and antennae you dont see in photos.

The only things I dont see on those images are the blacked out windows and the spot light under the tail.

These will be quite prickly birds when done.
