I built that kit last year I think. It was a pretty hard kit to build but all the hard work sure pays off in the end.

i liked building mine but i wish there was a vac form canopy set for it; someone pointed out a clear resin canopy set but it was twice the price of the kit!

I have one of these in my stash but I may not get to it for a while. Looks to be a great build though.

The thing I've noticed about the RM P-61 is that while it does have some fit/gap issues, they are extremely easy to overcome.  It's a great kit overall and when you're done, you're well rewarded for your efforts.  That Black Widow is one awesome plane and model!  I've built eight of them.  It's my favorite plane of all time.

(landing pretty light)

I like them too. My Father in law owned one of them and had a day he never could forget in another. However in the ETO by the time they were issued, there weren't targets to get in the air so they were used as Fighter Bombers.

Miss Billi 1 was a USAAF Beaufighter. Miss Billi 3 is a camper van he gave us, before he passed away this Spring.
