This is my Airfix 1:72 Hannover CL.IIIa, this was originally meant to be a present for a good friend CallSignOWL. But i sent her a different gift instead.I'm happy with the way it turned out overall, and it took my a long time to write the word "OWL" on the fuselage! Here are some pics.
It turned out really nice. I tried this kit some thirty years ago, never finished it, and think I still have it somewhere, in pieces.
How did you do the camouflage, and where did you obtain the pilot and gunner?
You detailed it very well. Good job.
well the camouflage was simple, i used humbrol acrylic numbers: 168 - Tan colour, 29 - brown and Tamiya acrylic XF-60 - dark yellow. And just brush painted the 168 on as a base colour (with a hand brush), then painted little spots in the brown and dark yellow. (all with a paint brush). I hope thats clear enough for you!The kit came with the pilot/gunner. ive got the newer 2010 kit, i think. Thanks

I'd never be able to do that with a paint brush!
I used to do quite a bit of WWI aircraft; still have a few--some even built. I use enamels, and proper WWI colours seem impossible to find, so most of the kits are in limbo.
ive only been modeling for 4 years on and off.that and im probably the youngest modeler on the whole forum! (im only 13 turning 14)Thanks for the positive comments
At 13 going on 14, you've got a good, long career ahead of you. Keep it up!
