"Hot Gen"

B-25, the Canadian Warplane Museum has restored a post war plane into WW2 configuration.

The info from the museum: http://www.warplane.com/pages/aircraft_mitchell.html

A nice write up from the local paper that also talked about the background of nose art:

For the bomber I'm partial to my great-uncles plane, the B-29 "Mustn't Touch", which was lost Jan 9, 1945.

For fighters I love the P-39 "Air A Cutie".  I like neked girls on airplanes. Stick out tongue

Bomber: B-29 "The Duchess, combat ready"

I'd love to build my monogram B-29 kit with these markings, trouble is there are no decals.

Not sure about a fighter.

Have you ever played with the DIY type of decals?   It can take a little bit of trial and error but I've used them quite a bit latley, especially  for fine detail where stenciling would have been sprayed in different aircraft.

My favorite bomber nose art, most who know me can tell you, is the b-24 "double trouble".  And that was before I found out the history and chatted with some crew members.  44-40989, 7 Group, 493 Squadron.  As for fighters no single aircraft.

About this unit.

My Lil Girl is a pilot as well.. She'd started in  Blackhawks, and logged over a thousand hours,  but she's flying guns now, having just graduated the AH-64 Apache Transition Course at Ft. Rucker...

Ditto Tailhook... That damn "scandal" ruined US Naval Aviation..   Didn't do much good for the USAF either...
