Joe, the explanation of how you created your base looks pretty straight forward, but with expert results.

Finally, those dreaded compressed air tanks - hopefully this will be the last to be mentioned of them here.  Photo (from K5084.com) of the prototype after it crashed in Sept. 1939.    Clearly can identify them on the port side.
