Great start, Chuck! Your shot of your device makes me want to ask, though--do you build any Ma.K, too, and if so, do you have a build blog or gallery some place?
Nice to see the girls coming along, too
Best regards,
Brad
The bigger the government, the smaller the citizen.
I saw the mention of the ME509 build on the other thread, and had to go searching. I saw a review of the kit and thought to myself 'that's an ugly bird!' But then remembered that Chuk mentioned he might display (actually acquire, build and install) the engine and figured that since Chuk's doing this, it'll be quite the silk purse afterall. :-)
I'm already enjoying this!

G. Beaird,
Just renewing my subscription to "The ChukW Build Diaries"... Looking like some nice pieces to start working with. I can't yet decide if I like the look of the Me-509 yet though.
On the bench: Airfix 1/72 Wildcat; Airfix 1/72 Vampire T11; Airfix 1/72 Fouga Magister
Excelent start and the engine grind looks impressive--cough cough-- from here.
Although, like Moon Puppy said it's not so much the build as the cause (fund to fight Cancer), I know I'll be able to pick up a thing or two from this build.

Building the perfect model---just not quite yet
Hi Chuck,
I'm watching this one over at AeroScale. Looks like a nice project.
Giggity. Keen to see this one. Always love watching your builds Chuck.

OH! Hey Chuck! Since you are on such a tight build schedule, maybe you should try this:
Build and take a lot of photos during the build. Then when done make up the posts as you have time and enjoy both the build then enjoy putting the posts together as you have time. This is what I finally decided I had to do. Putting together the posts were doing serious interruptions on my build progress.
I have followed a number of previous build threads that Chuck has published. I believe he does artwork for a living. Seems like I read that some of it was for computer games or some such. His ladies do add some nice flavor to his builds. Beats the heck out of the usual "here are 4 pics of what I did" posts. I have learned a fair amount from following Chuck's builds and this one will be another nice one As I have this kit myself.
Yep, seen Chuck's evolving artwork since he started with a stick figure doing a Double Dog Dare on his old Helldiver build. Thanks for the send up again Chuck, you rock Dude!
Remember, we are told Post Counts don't matter! (unless it's really high)
Modelers' Alliance
Look like another great model. And I like the aircraft to...
All kidding aside, I think I see a difference in this cartoon girl when compared to the ones in you Ju-388 tread. There is some more depth in the skintones etc. Or is it just my imagination?
Blueline If I may ask, do you draw the cartoon girls yourself? If not, where do they come from?

Thanks, Jim
Will be nice to see you knock one out in that time frame!
I've entered a group build to benefit cancer research. You can read about here,My link and there's still time to sign up- or simply donate a buck or two. Well, here I go- better late than never! Since I'm in a time bind, I can't guarantee that the girls show up on a regular basis- I'm busy buildin', man! ;)
