Thanks, gang!  So glad you all liked it- I know I had a great time with this build.  Hannah and Fritzi are on leave until my next German build- I'll have native Romanian to assist with the IAR.  Great Honk, I hadn't even thought about that coin, Subby- yikes!   ;D

Since I've run out of superlatives, Chuk, just let me say how much I've enjoyed the build.

Wonderful work.  I'm looking forward to the Romanian adventure...hopefully Fritzi and Hannah

will join you!

Cheers,

Ernie :)

Fantastic work on your diorama! Looking forward to your next project!

But first, cook yourself a steak, pour yourself a beer and enjoy some playoff baseball. Go Dodgers!

Well Chuck, I too am glad to add my voice, to say,

  Great Job.

The rework on the camera  boy  er  man  was just inspirational (in my never ending quest of "how come that fig is too small/large  and what to do about it.") I now know surgery!  (maniacal laughter optional, but likely)

 RAUALDUKE is partly correct about the f stop.     However during the African daytime, after September 29th, just before vespers, such a setting would be apropo, for a 15 minute period;

thus you have once again shown us your mind numbing er true attention to detail.

Truly incredible work. But I think the f stop on the leica is incorrect for outdoor photography. Ha

Great finish, Chuck!  I especially liked seeing your process on the figures, since I think they're an important part of any display.  I'm glad they were important to your diorama, too.  And yes, the Leica is a great touch, too!

I, for one, am looking forward to this build and the possibility of a new cast of supporting characters.  Maybe the Gypsy Chicks?

Here is a photo of this Romanian fighter.

Oh, yeah the good ol' Icaerodesign IAR 81 C.

OK, Ok, I too, had to look it up.

That looks like a good starter for your talented tweaks and additions.

But don't forget to put the oil in the engine of this one, be a shame to score a cylinder after all this work

Thanks, guys!  I've been poking along on the figures, and have a few corrections to make on the jeep, but it'll get done soon.  I have to write up a review of the HK big B-17 (wow, what a kit!), and then I'll be building the Icaerodesign IAR 81 C in 1/48.  Can't wait to start it!

It's coming together beautifully, Chuk. Amazing attention to detail. I have no idea what

you will do for an encore, but I await it with baited breath!  Great work.

Cheers,

Ernie :)

Holy Moly, Chuk!

As usual, your art....in plastic, resin, or otherwise, puts us mere mortals to shame.

You are one of the reasons I frequent these FSM pages - to see what incredible things you will create next.

One day....I hope to emulate your fine skills.

This is what it's all about...you are...totally....a FineScale Modeler.

My hat's off to you, brother.

Cheers, LeeTree
