MM, that is a neat-o (does anyone still say that?) build. That has always been a aircraft I have liked. As a youngster, I'd build the ones that "pooped" the weapon out the tail. Thought that was cool...

Thanks for all kind comments and compliments! It seems my newest artist has done a good job.

Geezer, I remember building the Vigilante myself also. Unfortunately not all I built are still present today.

Very nice build, looks like the real thing. You really don't know just how big those planes were till you see the real one in the flesh. I have the Sanford Airport near my home, the same that has a Vigilante as a gate guardian to commemorate the area which was previously known as Sanford Naval Air Station and a former Vigilante training base. The markings are pretty close to your model's.

Thanks for your kind comments! Even though I haven't seen the real thing, I can imagine its size in relation with the others that I have seen in person. Model planes are also good for size comparison.

The close markings reflect good research of the kit manufacturer and lend more reality to the kit.

You may be able to see the real thing.  Last I heard, there was still a Viggie gate guard at the old Cubi Point NAS...

There used to be one on a pole at NAS Millington, Tennessee (just north of Memphis). I wonder if it's still there since the base was closed down many years ago............ The last time that I saw it was back when I was stationed there for advanced aviation electronics training in 1984 -1985.
