Cool B-25 action Keyda! Max the photographer is impressed. Keep up the good work!

A few of MMB.
My personal favorite "Whiskey 7"
I had the great experience of taking a flight on Whiskey after the show, and it can not be summed up in one word! Hopefully I can do it again someday.
The third B-17 photo is the best of a bunch of nice photos, Keyda.

I like when the pilot banks the airplane enough that you can actually get a shot of the topside. Great shot (#3) of the Memphis Belle. Image #5 looks like a still from a WWII movie. Overall, well done.
OK. In the stash: Way too much to build in one lifetime...
We had a nice warbird event at our flying field, called Wings of Victory this weekend. One photo, and a link to the photo page where there are 109 more. I'm gettying used to a new 24mp Pentax K-3 II and I think I like it. Most of these photos were taken with a 55-300 Pentax telephoto that has a PLM motor for focus, silent and very fast.

Thanks! They were calling it a "Banana Pass" They did it twice with MMB.
Well, we got home from AirVenture yesterday afternoon (07/29/2018). I uploaded my images to my computer, all 1974 of them. I had my camera set for rapid fire so there are lots of doubles and triples that will have to be weeded out and lots of blurry images that will have to be deleted. I'm hoping to get at least 150 good images out of the lot. I'm going to post a few unedited images later this week.
Jeaton, we have the same camera set up. The K-3 is my third Pentax digital. I started out with an ist DL, then a K-10, and now a K-3. I'm saving my money for a K-1 to buy someday. I still shoot with an ME Super once in a while.
Frank, I had a Canon way back, but since then it's been a Pentax SF-1, K-100D, K-5 (which was recently stolen) and now the K-3II and a K-5II. I bought a DA 16-85 ED DC WR and the new 55-300 with the PLM motor to replace the older screw drive 55-300, what a difference!
We are having our usual fire season in California, I live near Sacramento. Tried some sunset pictures tonight, might as well get something from the bad air.
Well, I'm back from Oshkosh. In 2-1/2 days I shot 1974 pictures! And I still had time to walk around and watch the airshow. Anyway, I've whittled it down to just over 200 images that are somewhat suitable for editing. I edited these two today to share with desTROYer in his Gloster Meteor thread.
I think I'm going to open a photo sharing account to post the images from Oshkosh in albums. For the last few times, use.com just hasn't been working for me.
Cool stuff Frank! Looking forward to more. Did Oshkosh 2009. What an adventure!
OK. the first batch of photos from our trip to AirVenture. My new SmugMug page. It ain't pretty yet but have a look at the pictures anyway. MOre to come. Tell your friends...

Some very fine photography there, Frank!
I checked it out. Really cool stuff! What an experience that place is! Good work!
Heard we had a Herc at the airport that was scheduled to do a pass for the start of the Bills game today. So I headed over to take some pics, and to my surprise there was also an F/A-18 Super Hornet there as well. Two for one deal!
The Herc has invasion stripes too.
Some super photos here. Here are some I took over the past few years
747 in Frankfurt
Search and Rescue helo in Vancouver
A380 high above Vancouver
Harvards (?) over Vancouver
KLM 747 landing in Vancouver
Airplane and the Moon over Montenegro
Floatplane, a common sight in Vancouver
Mighty nice, Keyda. Well done. Here's some pix I shot at a3G Aviation Media workshop held at Warbird Adventures last week: https://franklewisphotography.smugmug.com/3G-Aviation-Media-Photography-Workshop-October-272018/

Nice shot. I would do a kitbash of the Testors/Italeri 48th kits I have in the stash if there were ever a decal sheet with those markings.
Going over to the VAC museum today with Route62 for the Veterans Day Open House. My K-3 is in the shop for a good cleaning so I'll be shooting film today. I have a roll of Fujicolor C200 in my ME Super. We'll see how it works out.
Missed the arrival and take off, but at least I got some shots while it was here. Not something you see everyday around here. AC-130W Hercules.
Badass! I saved these pics for a future build. Saw one similar over at the USAF Museum. They are just mean looking. Can't imagine how much ammo is in that belly...
In the pattern: Scale Shipyard's 1/48 Balao Class Sub! leaning out the list...NOT! Ha, added to it again - Viper MkVii, 1/32 THUD & F-15J plus a weekend madness build!
Oh I have lots of flying things photos... in the air and on the ground...

F is for FIRE, That burns down the whole town!

When my younger brother left the Air Force in '88 and went to work for Boeing as a technical writer, one of his first projects was the NOTAR.
Let's see if this works from my SmugMug.
..
This was taken at the seaplane fly-in at the Tavares Seaplane Base held in conjunction with Sun n Fun.
Yup, the smugmug seaplane photo worked.
As far as the 500 lineage goes, it was originally a Hughes design, the H-500. When McDonnell Douglas bought up Hughes, it became the MD-500. I am pretty sure that it was pre merger with Boeing when the NOTARs came out in the late 80s/early 90s. IIRC, Douglas moved the Hughes helicopter plant & folks from El Segundo CA, to Mesa AZ. I want to say that AH-64 Apache started life pre merger as a Hughes design as well.
My R/C club had an fly in for jets this weekend, here's two photos and a link to a bunch more.
