I had the same problem with both my P-51 (I made two) and the Spitfire. I don't get it. You've seem to overcome this issue. Everything looks great!

I think that is why they make the cowls to be removed, as I could just not get them all to fit arround the engine. Lucky that I plan to leave the left and bottom cowls off anyway.

PS. I looke at loads of pix of Mk8's and could not see a wire antenna to the mast so I did not put one on.

Two weeks is quite a speed build on this kit. After 40 some odd years away this kit was one of my first back in the hobby, unfortunately I didn't do so well on it but I wound up buying 2 more after I had practiced my skills and the last one was given to my wife's boss. It is a great kit and you did a super job on this one. These kits are the charm.
Get yourself the tam P-51 , it is also a really nice kit and better detailed than this Spitty.
That is super fine, Theuns. I love the paint. :)

I am pleased with the 2nd place this model took in the 1/32 Props section of our MOY :-)
Very cool Theuns. The Sun must be brighter in South Africa eh? Your outdoor pics always looks like there's so much light pouring out everywhere! lol. =] Is everything that bright down there?

Jup, sun and heat, dust and drought is something we have plenty of here :-)
When winter comes it is also rather miserable when it it arround -2 to 5 C. Not nearly as cold as you guys have but still not fun as we have no snow here to play in :-(
