Nicely done.  I think you did a great job on that splinter camo!

Wow, turned out great! I know what you had to work with. Every other model you build from now on  will be cake.

You did a really great job on that, Piper. These older kits may be a real pain to work on, but the results are worth the effort.  :)

Well done!

Yay it's done! I'm pleased with it. I had some trouble with the decals, they pretty much refused to slide for me after getting them on even with things being wet. On the bottom you may see that one of the decals is seriously out of wack, I own that. The one that's in the correct position was done with the plane and the directions matching visually, the other for some reason I turned the plane around  and my brain couldn't seem to comprehend the reversal(same thing when I tried to do the camo points), it actually slid some but not enough.

Thanks everyone!

I think the main portion of the camo is done, I feel the lighter green could have been darker but I'm satisfied with it. I really need to learn how to do better points lol.

I started to tape the lines off to get cleaner lines with the camo but after being on the phone for about 2.5 hours I just felt I needed to paint something lol. Got the 1st coat of dark green on some of it, I'm feeling pretty good about the colors. I have to do some masking on the top yet to at least come close to what the drawing I downloaded shows. So while the paint is drying I took the masks off the canopies, they came out pretty good I see some issues but I am improving and I have you people to thank for it.

Thanks Mike I will look for it next time I get out!

DasBeav, I had 3 of those piles last night lol I meant to take a picture but just didn't do it.

I have almost everything cleaned up, hopefully I'll be able to get some paint on it today.

I just remember a big pile of white dust on my table....looked like Tony Montanas desk in Scarface! You might try mixing some Isopropyl alcohol (IPA the pros call it...didn't know that for a few weeks!) with your putty to thin it.

You can always stop by the auto store and pick up some Bondo spot glazing putty. Good stuff.

Thanks lawdog!

Putty is on, it's my old stuff and I'm not sure it's all that good the tube has like 4 holes in it. Took my daughter to see a friend of hers and afterwards we stopped a a craft store that sells modeling stuff but they didn't have any putty.

I was able to clean up the fuselage using a fair amount of putty, which I think the putty may be a little to thick maybe from sitting on a shelf for too long at HL. Wings are on looks like more putty but I think I'll try to pick up a new tube tomorrow. There is a definite twist in the fuselage :(
