Having completed my Hellcat diorama http://cs.finescale.com/fsm/modeling_subjects/f/2/t/176101.aspx  , it's on to another PTO subject, one of Tamiya's great 1/48 Corsairs. This one is OOB except a resin seat and Montex masks for insignias. 

Cockpit. Resin seat with molded harnesses

Engine, wired using lawdog's method, of course.

Engine in cowling.  Separated cowling flaps with razor saw. Exhausts drilled out and painted with mission models burnt iron followe by AK rust pigment

As it sits now, fuselage halves and wing root together.
