Hodakamax, Thank you! I have yet to see one in person. There are a lot of older planes that I've yet to see in person. I hope I can get to the museum in Ohio sometime in the near future. I figure that is going to be my best bet in being able to meet some of these gems in person. Only other option is the air show in Geneseo. I attended it this past summer. I got to see the C-46 Commando, C-47 Skytrain, an Avenger, and a few other birds. I was hoping to finally see a B-25 in person, but none landed up showing up, the Corsair wasn't there either. Hopefully next summer. It was a very wet summer, and it is a turf runway. I heard someone say they didn't want to chance damaging planes on take off and landing.
Chemteacher, Thanks. Christmas break is the busy time for me. House to clean, cookies to bake, people to visit. Now that all of that is said and done I can get back to the Skyraider. I've put some putty on, letting that dry now. I'm hoping to have a coat of primer on sometime today.
