I built the George H.W. Bush TBF from AM a few years ago and it was a very nice kit.

I can see already, there's gonna be some greatness going into this one!Toast

While I have not built AM's SBD, I have it in my stash, and have built others from them. I found them great kits, especially considering their age.

I believe their SBD is their 2nd best...after the TBF, which is great...too bad the instructions don't offer much help!

Good to know since I have 2 TBF and 4 SBD in the stash

I now use postimage and love it.  Even if PB went back to free, I find PI easier to use and it uploads a lot faster than PB.

Like Johnny said, check out several image hosting sites. Johnny's correct, any of them are probably better than Photobucket. I use mostly Flickr but I've tried and like Postimage too. There are several more that are free and sooo much better than Photo#$%&*t.

I have access to a server so I just use that, but a lot of people are using Flickr, postimg, imgur, and others. I can't comment on any of them, but they can't possibly be as awful as photobucket (even before the photobuckalypse).

Go to a thread, click on an image, and see where that takes you. If the hosting service seems okay, sign up.

Thanks Johnny.  I'll fix the photo hosting thing.  Which hosting site do you use?  Any recommendations?

Sorry to disappoint.  This sucks.  What do you guys use to post photos now?

See what happens when I'm away for so long?

Hey kielers

Super stoked to see your SBD (I have a soft spot for that plane) but your images have been smothered by Photobucket ransom notes. Maybe try another hosting service?

All,

I've been a member of this forum for some time but haven't posted anything for too long.  Mostly because of my Job, the Reserves and kids, and a couple other things.

But I started this project a while ago and wanted to start posting some photos of my progress.  This is Accurate Miniatures 1/48 SBD 5 Dauntless.

I like to detail and super-detail so this is turning into a long build. I'm using an Eduards BIG ED set, True Details seat, a Waldron SBD interior detail set and some other detail sets, including a Vector Resin engine.  And a lot of scratch building.

I removed most of the interior molded on ribbing and framinga dn replaced with strips of metal (from tee candle holders).

The security locker in the rear cockpit is made from a piece of resin.  I cut apart the interior side panel moldings and scratchbuilt or used AM parts for most of them.

I didn't like the look of the kit molded control sticks so I made a better set from styrene and brass rod.

I have a lot more done then this and will post some more tomorrow.

I took some advice and created an account on postimage.  It's much better than Photobucket.
