Have been in a long non modeling lump but the $ in this comission motivated me to finish the build. This Corsair took me like 2 months to finish and normally would have taken me a couple of weeks but she is finally finished.

Holy moly, that Corsair is simply gorgeous!  You nailed the weathering, and you're seriously making me want to put one of my Corsairs on the bench once I finish my dual Superfortress build.

Is this the 1/32 kit?

Hey gents thanks for your positive comments. You guys are motivating me to build again so thanks for the encouraging words.

Aggie this is 1/48 scale and simply falls together with no effort like a typical Tamiya kit.

Mr. Junkie-

Great build.  I have this kit in my stash and really look forward to building it.  However, after seeing your pictures I'm a bit reluctant.  You set the bar pretty high.

Echoing previous comments... the weathering is just right. Very nice.

That's awesome work, PJ. YesYesYes

So many things to admire, I'll comment on one that stood out for me: Chipping around the canopy. Perfect.

Thanks Ted. You can't go wrong With this one, the parts fit is outstanding.

Greg

Glad you like how the chipping came out. It may look too white (at least to me in the picture) but that's from the flash.

And by the way the aluminum paint I used for the chipping is an old bottle of MM enamel that has to be close to 30 years old but it's as fresh as the first day I bought it. Their quality control was excellent back then.

Super nice PJ, I may have to break out mine now.

Steve

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

I think it looks great. I'm working on breaking out of a long slump too. The little square bottle of Testors silver I use is 17 or 18 years old and going strong. Tony

Well done PJ.  You're client should be quite pleased with it.

Great job!

As others have mentioned, modelers block seems to be going around. I've also been in a modeling funk. I figured I had an excuse over the summer in into the early fall .. but now, weather probably won't permit much hiking, photography and taking more flying lessons. I still haven't been able to motivate myself to work on a simple old Lindberg Curtiss P6E Hawk that I began a few months ago. I'll take a cue from you and just do it!
