Yes. The only difference is the markings and ordinance. The Mustang was recalled from Guard units Stateside and sent to Korea, not as a fighter, but as a ground attack aircraft. It's fifty cals, ability to carry a decent amount of ordinance, loiter time, and ability to operate off unimproved airfields gave it a distinct advantage over the jets of the day. This was especially helpful at the beginning of the war when most the jets had to fly from bases in Japan.
