Yes well. I would also like to see a good earley model of the Connie in either BOAC or QANTAS markings in 1/72.
BUT a 1/72 DHA Drover tri motor in RFDS markings would make my day.

1/200 scale 727-100. 1/200 scale DC8 51 and 61.

1/200 scale DC-9 10 and 50...

I wish Hasegawa made those. Of course you can cut the Hasegawa DC-9 40 and make it a 50 or 10 but it would be nice to have those out of the box.

Thanks for that, Pat. That's the company I was thinking of. Have you bought your neighbors out of their houses yet??? You'll need that with that sort of ideas!

DJmodels, I think that's Aircraft In Miniature. Their website is:

http://www.aim72.co.uk/

I want their DC-10 with the KC-10 conversion kit. Also wouldn't mind having their 747 with the extra hardware to mount the Space Shuttle on top. That would be most impressive in 1/72!
The expensive price would be one thing, but then I'd have to pay to ship 'em to the U.S.

The 1/72 Concorde and 747SP are on the market and have been for a while. It's a UK company that produce them. I can picture their 'logo' but can't remember their name.. (I'll get back to you on that!) It's vacuform, though, (with a few metal bits) and a lot of work is needed... They are also rather expensive kits!

As an airliner? Heh heh heh!
Monogram has had the bomber version out for years in 1/48. B-24D and B-24J.

I like the idea of a 1:48 Ford Trimotor, too. How about a 1:48 Lockheed Electra? (I keep picturing a P-3 conversion).

In the Centennial Year of the Ford Motor Company, it would be nice to have a decent 1/48 Ford Tri-Motor. It is as important as the DC-3. How about that Revell/Monogram ?

The Revell & Monogram Connies are box scale. Probably come out to 1/131st or something like that. Minicraft's 1/144 Connies are nice little kits. If ya want bigger, Heller's 1/72 Connies can be built up into impressive models...

Built a little 1/144 Connie many moons ago, but can't remember the maker....Revell? Molded in white, as I recall.

Just saw that Minicraft is releasing a 1/144 DC-8 and 727-200, which makes me very happy!

Convair 240/340/440, Injection molded 1/72 or better (is 1/48 too much to hope for?). Dad flew C-131D's and has been after me to find and build one. I know about the Proteus release, but it's a bit steep. I see it made it into FSM's suvey again, so maybe there's a chance. D. Blackwell

A 1/72 or 1/48 BAe 146 has been on my wish list for a long time.

I'd like to see a lot of the smaller short haul birds scaled up to 1/72 from traditional 1/144

Eagle334, you can always try the VEB 1/100 727-100.... I started one a couple of years ago. The basic shape is there, and then there's your talent and plenty of opportunities...

Hmmm... Maybe a Illushin 86 or 62... Or maybe the 747-400 in Air India livery....

Cheers,
