Ryan:
Like those nose guns. Gives a whole new meaning to the term "He got drilled."
(I think you have to see the pixel-shift effect on my screen to get the joke. Sorry.)
I was thinking of using the hinged gun compartment on my AM B-25G, but after seeing your J, and all you did you make that beauty, I think I'll just slap a little CAA on that clamshell and let it go before I embarrass myself. Besides, I have an AM C/D to convert to something else before I get around to the G.
So, can you divulge what colors you used for the cockpit and the rear parts of the fuselage? I assume the bomb bay is NM. Which reminds me of something I saw yet again just this morning:
One thing I've noticed from examining a number of photos, all the B-25 bomb doors I've seen have NM inner skins with the lightening holes, but on the inside of the outer skin, which you can see through the lightning holes, it is anywhere from yellow to green chromate, and there are three or four ribs running the length of each door. If you're using the Eduard bomb bay, it's easy to do this little piece of realism, because they give you that perforated bomb door, and the outside skin as well. All you have to do is curve the door on the kit part, add the stringers (from Evergreen) and paint it chromate.
