Nice clean build there aggieman. I guess you are the first to finish over at the group build. I was originally going to build this one also but then I got stupid and pulled the Trumpter 1/32 P-38 L-O instead. What a monster of a kit. I am glad this is a long group build because I'm gonna need it!

I love the lines of the early P-38's! How was the ProModeller kit? Is it the Hasegawa re-box or a Monogram kit? Cool scheme you went with, too.

Thanks for everyone's comments!

Charles, I haven't built the Hasegawa P-38, but I have built the old Monogram kit and this is not it.  There were some fit issues with this kit, particularly in fitting the wing to one of the booms.  The canopy also had some issues but that might have been due to its unusual design or my own abilities in putting it together.

Great job on that P-38!

Speaking of a P-38, how was it to build?  I have Monogram kit in my stash and since I don't really do much aircraft, I don't know much about it.  Has anyone built Monogram P-38?  If so, please give me some pointers!

Thanks

Nice work on the P-38.  I didn't realize the 3 recognition lights were on the center fuselage on the Lightnings.
