The recent model in FSM of the B-24 leaves me at a loss. Author/builder if you read this please respond.

I haven't probably won't be in FSM ever. I am way too slow and not really good at this.

Brushing is fine as a finish. Most of the Brit model mags seem to have brushed models, and while it seems obvious to me, it looks fine.

My question is: This model does not look like any a/c I've ever seen photos of. What was the effect sought? It doesn't look right at all.

Dear modeler; I apologize but with the national forum, the question seems relevant.

Wow.

If there were an award for overdone weathering, that model gets it.  A plane might look like that if it was sitting in a boneyard for ten years...  The desert was tough on paint, but not like that AT ALL.  Remember, these planes were only 2 years old!

I looked up pics of some of the 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" planes, and none of the planes I saw looked like that...
