From what I understand, the late war camo was soft-edged. When I painted, the only parts that received masks were the gun bay, wheel wells, & the canopy. I always mask & glue my canopies (minus opening section) to the fuselage before painting.
Since the canopy is hinged & the gunbay doors don't need glue, putting this one in flight will probably be easy. At the beginning of the year, I'm going to do a "digital group build over at Scale Hobby. We will probably use pics of this model.
I'm a "creature of habit" when it comes to painting camo. I thin to almost 50:50, and spray slowly at about 5-7 psi.
