P-80 Shooting Star Saggin Dragon

I haven't posted pics here much but log in almost dailey to see the fantastic works being brought here. Although I'm not an "expert" I enjoy this hobby and have not been shy in asking questions here to try to "up" my modeling skills and have recieved many replies with excellent advice and tips from you people, with my thanks.

This is a completes older Monogram kit with aftermarket decals from CAM, the paint was my first attempt in using Alclad metal paints, I've grown to love this stuff! Soooo...here goes!

Beautiful. Just beautiful.

I have a really soft spot for the P-80 and this build is a real pleasure to look at. Very well done indeed.Wink [;)]Thumbs Up [tup]

Very nice build Skipper.  The old Monogram kit builds up well, but I really wish a new, modern tool kit would come out.  Classic Air Frames announced one a year or so ago as a joint release with Special Hobby, but so far nada.

For some one who claims not to be an "expert" it seems to me that you have done an "expert" job on the Shooting Star. That is one tough kit and I know because I have built a couple and my efforts were not nearly as fine as yours. Thumbs Up [tup]Thumbs Up [tup]  Great job!

Very nicely done, Skipper!  Not only is the nmf first rate, your detailing shines as well!  You really have brought this old kit to life!  Thanks for sharing, show us more!
