20 years of pause? wow.. more than me Tongue Tied

Unfortunately don't have mechanics in 1/100, preiser don't produce too but had a set of 190 unpainted figures

you can foud about 25-30 € . Theres lots of unusefull figures but lots of people with flat chlotes easy to mod.

Heres the production link

http://www.preiser-figuren.de/1:100-Preiser-1-100-Figuren-unbemalt--190-Stueck-Preiser-74090-,art-18295

Sometimes you had just to paint it in the federation or zeon colors Cool

i had lots of 1/160 1/144 stuffs ready for future dioramas

1/160

1/144 : nato pilots and ground crew! (the sprues on the right of ground gundam)

not found about the proper figure i mentioned above Sad probably out of print or not remember the producer

Dr. Shrinker,

Linky to Wave "Mobile Staff" figures, in 1/144 and 1/100:

http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljlist?Word=mobile+staff&range=nameonly&SeriTxt1=&GenreCode=All&MacroType=All&Maker1=WAV&Scale=All&Skill=&Dae=All&Dis=-2&DisplayMode=images&Code=&x=77&y=12

They are generic space suited figures in injection molded plastic.  Some of the helmets have funky horns, but are simple to trim off.  These will be easy to modify into Gundam era crew.

Too bad Bandai hasn't released a Gundam specific crew set in both scales.

Great stuff going on in the GB guys!  I really need to get off my duff and start building again.

DrShrinker

Thanks for the info Smeagol. Keep in mind i have seen very few Gundam episodes, but the Zeon mobile suits always seem to remind me of Samurai armor and thought they looked kinda neat together.

 bsyamato:

Only appoints is the samurai scale, i presume are 1/72 scale. Preiser if you intrested produce a box of unpainted figures in 1/100 hard plastic medium, easy to modify for MG dioramas, also some pilot and mechanics in space suit are avaible from .. wave smeagol?

Yeah, the little samurai guys are 1/72. They are the first ones i've painted in almost 20 years.

I'd love a link to 1/100 scale mechanics and pilots if you have one. I think ive seen the Preiser figures, but i thought they were all civilians.

Anyway, it was a fun build. I have a couple other things to build before i get back to another Mobile suit. I have a 1/144 scale Sazabi to get to, but what i really want is a 1/100 Kampfer. Just waiting to find a good deal. Big Smile

I have that kit but its 85% complete and I forget what color blue I was using so it probably will never be finished... :\  The kit itself is nice but it is a BEAST to do.  So many seams in awkward places and it requires more then a few cuts to the inside of the parts to make it all go together right if you do want to remove seams.

btw seen the wave figures , they only for space dioramas Surprise i wishing to see my MS with large footprints in the ground and see something green, so imho i prefere to modify preiser figures for dioramas (my whishing for the next year is finally to manage dioramas tecniques.. it's time!)

Last night on the gouf finally complete all the armour pieces with first primer and most with the final color (out of backback and the head inner Dead ) also drybrush lots of new things on the skeleton, this afternoon psting something Toast

Just catching up after the flu, and I have to say, great job on that Diorama! And, Bsyamato, keep up the awesome work on that Gouf. Looking good so far.

Also, got some pics of the Zaku, now that it's finished. I like this one the best:

Yeah, I know that the cables look a little funny, but remember, they're replacements for the ones that I accidentally destroyed while building the kit.

That's all I've got, Keep up the great work!

Nice work after the cables too klik Yes i'll post this picture on the wall but upload more for the zaku own gallery, i'll update the link when you done. Just as a tip for better picture you need to try turn the subject to the light direction, the looking of the zaku seems really good but the picture don't give it justice Toast

Thanx for coments guys about the gouf will post more during the holidays

Smeagol,

The tracks and wheels need to be painted before test fitting and assembling them.  I fitted them up in sections before painting, and found that hard way that the coat of paint will add just a hair of thickness to the parts, which will cause the track links to not close.  I feel your pain - I think this is the first model that I continously used an optivisor while building.

Happy holidays fellow OYW group builders!  And don't shoot yer out out!

Smeagol,

I first painted the track joints with Testors liquid cement (glass bottle) then slid them together.  The cement slightly softens the plastic, allowing the tracks to be pressed together.  The Testors glue isn't really "hot" compared to Tenax or Mr. Cement, so you'll have some time to get things lined up before the glue sets.  I built the track sections into upper and lower runs.  After the first coat of glue dried, I removed the tracks from the running gear, then applied Mr. Cement to the joints to reinforce them.  I fitted the tracks back onto the running gear to make sure the tracks set correctly.  Where the upper and lower tracks join, I scraped the mating surfaces a little beforehand.  As they come, the fit is a little tight.

Other than that, I can only say to close your eyes, breathe deeply, and clear your mind.  It's only a hobby.  It's only a hobby.  It's only a hobby...
