Any progress is good! A couple of photos of your build may spur some others to give us updates. We have I think three F-14s being built right now, so a side-by-side cpmparison would make for some interesting reading.
guess that one could cut off the Aim-7 if necessary, but it does seem a bit silly to mold them on the pylons. I also would have thought that your exterior PE set (did you get that one or just the cockpit?) would have added bits to the pylon, which might force you to remove the Sparrows.

I agree about the 3 Tomcat builds. It's a good way to learn how others tackle the same issues.
The PE set has parts for the cockpit and exterior. It has a few parts of the Sidewinder missle rails and the Pheonix missle pallets but nothing for the Sparrow launchers. I hope I got the terminology right on those.
I will probably cut off the swing wing mechanism on the wings and cut a groove in the wing attachment area. This way I can paint them seperately and get good coverage.
