Dupes - It has been sitting in the garage tool shed for a couple of years now.  Its current state is the same as the photos on the club website, minus the buildings and mobile suits.  It's probably dusty and a little beat up, but it could be easily freshened up.  I was thinking of covering it with a piece of glass and turning it into a coffee table or something.

Bsyamato - I guess it could be used for other types of 1/144 scale displays, but it was not made to look very realistic.  We just wanted a playground for our Gundam models.

yes, is not global realistic, but really like vegetation.

Ok i'll put on war the gouf v2.0 Big Smile

Tonight i had some idea about some type of diorama involving the gouf and the ramba ral and wife (?) meeting someone in the desert or something like that, need to sketch something on paper.

Here's a link to the work in progress of the diorama.  The Gundam Diorama went through several stages of evolution.  Before it was a city scene, it was a jungle (08th MS Team) and a asteroid before that.

More Pics

Here's the original pic which inspired the MMA brawl. (note that they are the fix figuration figures)

Bsyamato,

Do you have this set?

http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10051249

It includes figures of Ramba Ral and Ms. Hamon.  (Plus a 1/35 Zaku head!)

Maybe you could do a forced perspective diorama, with the figures in front and the Gouf in the background?

I BUILT THIS KIT!

Totally fun 1/35 build, mainly because...how many Zeon troops are there in 1/35th scale? If you ever get the chance, I recommend this kit, as a fun, simple one that anyone can have fun superdetailing the heck out of it. I know I had fun!

However, the Zaku head is a bit odd. It doesn't have the same look as a Zaku head of any other scale. It's kinda...ovular? (oval-shaped, not circular, as Zaku heads are in 1/144th and 1/100th), but the Zeon troops make up for the head's shape, especially the one on the motorcycle. There are minor fit issues on the people, resulting in them not being able to stand upright without support, and Ramba's boots are wierd, in that they can be put on either leg without any obvious sign.

I can get pics if you want proof.Wink

Thanks to whoever gave me photo tips (sorry, I forgot to get the name down)--I was in a rush to get photos up, and I didn't have enough books to provide a steady platform for pictures, except the lamp I was using, and it was hot (nearly burned my hands). Think I'll try natural lighting, when the clouds break, and I'll repost pics for Y'all.Embarrassed

Keep up the great work. Look forward to more pics.

an all-purpose diorama Orkork Big Smile As i see first the vegetation and hills are relly good to me, i have all the material to do something, just need to start (also lots of n and 1/144 scale peoples )

Real G have not this set, i mean this...

the three pilots are the black 3 star pilots from the zaku II R1 v2 i have Whistling

plus probably use some others mg optional pieces to do some mech debris around. Out of these probably add one of hoover cycles (need to scratch then not sure)

I know the 1/35 set, realy good is, but not don't have . Actually just building kits from the stash.

-----------------

thennnnn here comes the gouf!

more serious

end of serious

ok for this night i just unbuilt all... it took about an hour Dead

Dupes - When the diorama was an asteroid, it was just this great big, bleak, black thing, with a couple of twisted web trusses sticking out to simulate space station wreckage.  (The diorama started life that way because we ran out of time for terraforming.)

Klick - We don't demand proof, but we demand piccies!  Wink  I'd love to see how you treated the Zaku head.

Bsyamato - I have the Gouf 2.0, but not the Black Tristars R1 Zaku.  I recently used my Johnny Ridden R2 Zaku 2.0 for a contest prize, but Orkork has one and is building it for the GB.

I apologize for dragging the threads all over, but at least on this GB, we are talking Gundam 99.999% of the time!  Good job lads, I mean spacenoidsCool

Hey Orkork, just a heads up, on your post, on the right where it says more, you can click that and hit edit, so you dont have to pose and correct yourself.

Edit: see, I just had to do it, thought the button said extra, it didn't, it said more

Here's the pics of the work in progress.  So far everything is pretty much straight out of the box. Nothing interesting to report here.  Almost done clipping out most of the pieces.

bsyamato,

Here's some info about Johnny Ridden:

Johnny Ridden

Dennis Alexio

Dennis Alexio is one of the most well know kickboxers out there.  He's known for wearing a hula skirt in his matches.  His matches are unbelievable.  Most of his matches are KO in like 10 seconds into the match. He's definitely a Newtype! He was also in Kickboxer(The dude who ended up in the wheelchair).

The stripes around his hip is supposed to be a hula skirt.  It's kinda hard to see from the angle.  Also I didn't get a chance to layer it like a real hula skirt.

For me I just know Dennis Alexio just because of the movie Kickboxer. Also, I've seen his fight (if you would even call it that) in person.  And I used to practice martial arts and I'm a big martial arts fan too.

I kinda thought that pose would be more of a UFC/MMA thing, or some type of boxing. Never really thought about it as Tekken.  Btw, Eddie does Capoeira (brazillian Martial arts) so a reference would be made to a different movie: Only the Strong. Hmm, I wonder if I can get it the zaku to pose in a Capoeira stance? Ironically the main actor Mark Dacascos is also from Hawaii too.

Sorry to go off on a tangent from Gundam, so let's get back on. Ever seen this chick before:

Her name is Tomoe Ogoshi. She's my girlfirend although she doesn't know it yet. :-p She's used to be in Hobby Japan Magazine and had her own how to build gundam section.

Aallllrrriigght, fine, if you insist. I've been meaning to get better pics of my Zaku and Ball anyhow. Now, if I could just round up all the troops, I'll get them posed for a pic with the Zaku head. [I built it straight up, so it looks odd (a dismembered Zaku head).]

Now, I only need to find my camera, and I'll be back with pics!Camera

Since I don't read comics, what is the "thousand suns" thing referring to?  The detonation of the nuke at the naval review in the OVA?  Inquiring minds want to know.

Oh, OK.  I don't really listen to J-pop either, so I don't know who Linkin Park is.  (God, I suck!)

Yeah, I'm just here to buy the model kits.

So what is the deal about the black and white color scheme of the GP-01?  Was it featured in one of their videos?
