Thanx for comments Big Smile

Vetterman probably i'm not so good to do same things in 1/48, because needed more precision than 1/72 scale Black Eye (and at actually build rate i will out of my house for "not enough space")

main ip are finished, it took a total of 3 or four hours.

fit seems good

that's all for now, hope to finish soon the whole forward section.

.. and soon policewoman update Stick out tongue

Casper!!! I want in!!!! Please!!!Bow Down I have several migs in the stash I have been looking over everytime I look in one of the closets. I will get back later with the details: more than likely it will be Dragon's 1/72 Mig-17. But I also have a Mig 29 in there too! Will let you know tomorrow when I get home from shift.

Casper:

Here is my submission for the GB. It is Dragon's Ji-12 (Mig-15) in 1/72 scale. I haven't decided which paint scheme I am going with yet.

Are the new mold from airfix?

It is indeed the new mold from Airfix.

Not a bad little kit, the panel lines are little on the heavy side, but everything has gone together fine so far.

I'll post some pics later on.

Hi Red, these are possibly the best guys in town for kits. http://www.mccannsmodelworld.com.au/

They're in the CBD and easy to find. They actually have a lot of kits of all shapes/brands and scales. They know me there, tell 'em I sent ya Big Smile

Cheers

Thanks, ill defiently visit them im coming down thursday actually.

tell 'em you sent me? will that get me a discount? Big Smile Stick out tongue

my LHS tiger models and hobbies, are very expensive, especially when you buy kits larger than 1:72

1:48 = $32
1:32 = $50 Surprise

is McCann's Model-world cheap? because ive never built anything other than 1:72 Big Smile

Ah, I don't even get a discount myself!

There kits are about on par with other retailers but can't compare to OS sites like SprueBros or Lucky Model. Also depends on the kit, some of the more detailed Hobbyboss, Trumpeter or tamiya kits can be pricey but you often get what you pay for. The Tamiya 1/48 series are a good place to start if you want to venture outside 1/72. About $50 for most of those kits but their detail is pretty nice.

Cheers

now my P-39's paint is drying, time to annoy some "plovers" Big Smile,
(you know the ones that dive at you? you must have chased them before when you were in your teens?Wink)

they remind me of stukas Stick out tongue

Ah ok, yeah it took me months to save for big kits when I was kid. Building kits as an adult is pretty cool, you can afford so much more...Wink

Yeah, my dogs chase plovers at the beach. A weird bird, they always cary on at night when all the other birds are asleep.

The bulk of the Mig 15 is now together.

I used the Eduard Zoom set for the cockpit, not sure why as I'm leaving the cockpit closed!

Still it looks great, and the IP and side consoles are a big improvement on the kit parts.

Now looking like an aircraft.

I've just popped the canopy on, and will leave that to set overnight.

Next step - primer.

Excellent, good to see a fuselage. How do you find the Eduard zoom? Sometimes it looks good especially for dials bit I find it can be a bit 2D when used to replace entire entire consoles.

KJ200 as on the other gb the 15 looks great!

The mig-31 wait for more space on the workbench, having three kits on last steps to finish.
