And the Ki-84 is soaking in the sink! It'll be competing for bench time with the PCM Fiat, so progress may be slow, but it's on!

Also came across some gorgeous Ki-84s at ModelFiesta yesterday:

Hasegawa 1/32

Tamiya 1/48

And a very well done Raiden (believe this won 1/32)

I also managed to score a Hasegawa 1/48 Ki-84 for $15, and a Ki-44 with the 40mm cannons for a bit less than $40...my Japanese stash is growing...

On the Bench: 1/32 Trumpeter P-47 | 1/32 Hasegawa Bf 109G | 1/144 Eduard MiG-21MF x2

On Deck:  1/350 HMS Dreadnought

Great pics Doogs, I love the first one, because I like home-defense markings among other things.

Had a busy weekend with the family, in fact, just been busy period as of late so getting to the bench has been more miss than hit.  Here are a couple of office pics of the Val.  The mount for the gun unit was a real PIA for those who have the Hase Val.  Nice detail but a real PIA to get together.

Tom: I'll add your Tony to the roster right away. Welcome aboard!

Bsyamato: Despite your problems she looks like she's coming right along now. Please don't spend your whole paycheck at this new site though. Angel

Reasoned: Very nice work there, looks like you're almost ready to close her up.

Doogs: Those are some really nice looking models, and sorry to have contributed to a new addiction Stick out tongue

also glued the fixed greenhouse

out the humidity seems high. 2 days of dry robably needed Huh?

Focus was on the Fiat last night, but I did do a quick test-fit. Not bad, but a bit sloppy for a Tamiya...

I tried to get one off of ebay, but just haven't had any luck. I settled for the Nichimo one instead. Probably not the best decision, but with some new decals, it might be okay.

I started to build the Nichimo one years ago. never finished it.....it has what seems to be lots of cockpit detail but its molded pretty thick for the scale. the overall body is ok...raised detail and panel lines if I remember correctly...its better than their Jake...thats for sure...

I`ve built both the Kate and Jill kits. They`re really nice, detailed kits. I do want to pick up the Nachimo offering just out of curiosity. I built the Jake...wasn`t a great nor horrible kit but I think the only kit of that aircraft in 1:48.

Big-Z: Cool, the folded wings came out really well there.

Trey: Yeah, I'd love to see anything else you might want to toss in.

Doogs: Not too bad considering the age of the kit.

I had so many fit issues with the Jake that I gave up....that and the kit was more toy like....no interior to speak of...still I agree the 1/48 option...even with all my negative comments about it I bought another not too long ago...I figuered I will add a Val cockpit tub....they should be close enough since they were both Aichi...until some one comes out with a new one(hint...hint....Hasegawa...wink wink...Tamiya)

I wanted a PH version Kate with the torpedo but Hase's doesn't come with it, Nichimo's does sooooo I bought both (found a great deal on the Nich online) and when the time comes, going to do a little gizmo fitting to attach the Nich torpedo to the Hase Kate............ or at least that's the plan.

Bsyamato: ACK! What you've got done looks so good, and then have to redo everything. Gosh I'd be really mad. Good luck to you my friend. I've been angry with having to sand down and repaint the tail of my P-47N, I should be happy the whole paint job didn't go bad. Crying

Still, as good a modeler as you are I know you'll be able to fix it. Yes
