Gee, I leave for the weekend and all this gets done, maybe I should take the entire week off posting?

Len: I painted the cockpit of my Judy Mitsubishi interior green (close to US interior green). That's what my FineMolds instuctions said. Although it says paint the wheel wells Nakajima interior green (closer to RAF interior grey-green) so I'm not entirely sure. The Robert Mikesh book has a number of excellent photos of the interior of the sole surviving Judy but it's been entirely repainted and is a hard to tell what the original colour was. Frankly, I wouldn't lose sleep over it, I don't think anyone has a definate answer.

Kevin: You freaked me out over the pink at first till I saw where you were going with it. Good idea, I'll have to give it a try next time I do something with a lot of orange on it.

Trey: Love the propblur and love the salt method chipped paint. As Bsyamato said you're like a model building company! Beautiful job!!!

Needbeer: Very sharp work on the Dinah, and thanks for the additional photos of your Zero, terrific looking model!

Thanks guys for the help with the Judy interior. I may split the difference and do the `pit in desert yellow and wheel wells / bomb bay in RAF gray green. I haven`t startd the kit yet, I was perusing the instructions and realized I may need a little help. Not sure what`s next after the Nell...maybe a Kikka...

Does anyone have English instructions for Finemolds Judy, kit # FA-4:5800? The box art is in black and white and is a Judy with an in-line engine. I need them mostly for painting the cockpit....some things are labeled in English but most are not.

i see now len , nothing about the instruction, but about the interior cockpit i found recently two articles on old modelling italian magazines ob both army and army aircraft. The inner colors on the whole airplanes ,except somwe rare cases are this(the ki-27 was a case) on the natural metal surfaces they applied a protection varnish semiclear in a sort of smerald finishes , the under metal surfaces bring the particular looking, imho best way is to paint interior with silver, aluminium or some like this and after paint with a mix between a clear varnish and a mix of like emerald color, at least will be the pocess i'll use on my next jap ww2 plane .

Kikka is good ,actually the only non propeller subject in the gb list (or not )

thanks a lot the trees are so nice!  I found them a model railroad store and are from JTT scenery products and have palms up to 10" for the 48th scale

Trey i take no responsibility about possible damages about hanging photo sessions , on the mavis effectively the thing was easier for the mavis structure, on a fighter is not so easy.

Want to scan, if i found them, two similar pictures of a mig-25 and a tomcat 1/144 i did in the later 80's with the blur of pictures they seems real (despite they was probably my first kit of ever)

I'm in standby mode for new kits waiting some extra money to use here

Len, I looked at the Finemolds instructions. I don't think a translation would help, the items with only Japanese labels seems to all be description of what the pieces were, not their colors.  It seems all the color callouts are already in English.

Sorry I missed the info on this kit.  Is it Revell or Hasegawa?  Very nice job on the interior, are the seat belts tape? And the instrument panel looks great - decal??

Need some advise.

Since the underside of my Ki-94-II is orange I have been wondering what color would be best used to highlight the panel lines??  Any ideas would be most appreciated.

Nice work on the Nell Len you used decals for the ip, but kit included the detailed ip in plastic?

Kevin IMHO try on a similar painted surface, probably for highlight try to add yellow and dark red for darker parts, yellow and red are the bases for the orange. Panels can work with a dark gray washing?

Len: Great work on the Nell, cockpit looks fantastic!

BTW: Please let me correct myself, I'd said the instructions for the 1/48 Finemolds Judy said Mitsubishi interior green for the cockpit. I was wrong. It says Nakajima interior green with some parts painted Mitsubishi green. So now I find out I painted most of my cockpit the wrong colour. Oh well, unless you cut or replace the canopy the Finemolds kit only comes with a closed canopy so it's not really even that visible.

Kevin: As the guys said I'd go with a brownish-orange or reddish-orange. You might look for paint labeled rust, leather, or hull red. That would probably be usable right out of the bottle.

Well just ordered from Japan a 1/48 Ohka and a Judy...both Fine Molds....so I may add another to my build...
