It's happy hour at the Jolly Roger... at least if that place was still around... I am at work though and can not partake... 

here lately i have been sipping on sake while building. given my current model funk should probably switch fo with rum, cuba libre. though, as i suspect, my fire jeep has passed through the "it's crap" stage, at least on this one. i will be starting my british LCVP in late september. too bad the other 6 in progress builds are in the "crap" stage.

Ah, yes.  I'd be sitting there drinking rum, wearing the paper pirate hats that they used to print the kid's menus, watching the boats go by . . .

Rats.  The liquor store guy only gave me two shots of Bacardi instead of three.  I'll have to take a shot of vodka to make up for that.  This one's for you, Stik!  Cheers!

I have to watch the drinking while modeling... leads to less than satisfactory results... at least after the 1st one... That's when the bench gets tidied up for the next day's session or some other less precise work can be done...

You should try some Sailor Jerry's rum there BB. Packs a bit more kick. Enjoy it...

been buildin all afternoon. and will be building at a workshop on saturday so think i will take the evening off. just switched to MOJITOs. go sam axe.

Aye, Cap'n! I'm familiar with the Sailor, and a scoundrel he be indeed!  But me local store be sellin' Bacardi for a buck each so I've been quaffin' that as of late.

I now takes off my glass to ShattenSpartan and waynec!  Sluice the ivories, lads!  Drink deep and drink oft!  

Well, lets get some Rum then. Maybe some more... Ahh, let's just take the whole bottle... I have to do only some sanding, I should be able to do that even when I'm drunk...

Just kidding. I'll have a few (actually a lot) drinks and go to bed... It's already 3 AM...

I'm waiting for some figures to dry.  And all the good light where I build is fading fast so I have no excuse not to drink.

Yup, sunset is when the bench changes from modeling to evening activities for me too...... music and drink... my lighting in the garage is fair for night work...

Lighting in the "dining room" [aka - my model area] sucks once the sun starts setting.  Plus that's when the wife starts watching TV and the light bothers her so all operations pretty much shut down.

Hey, where's waynec?  Did he pass out already?  

I build almost only at night... I have some decent lighting though...

I think Wayne had too many drinks...

My rum is now gone.  As soon as the wife leaves to pick up my step-son I'm going to go get more. 

Not that she'd really care but it makes it more exciting for me to pretend to be sneaky.  Ok, she's leaving.  Here I go . . .

what the hell are you guys talking about? the sun ain't even down. took a break to cook dinner, rice, kimchi and seared mahi-mahi.. had to clean up and post some pics of my fire jeep at the FIRE/EMS GB.

I'll go to bed now... The Rum is out and I feel kinda dizzy (juss kidding, I'm fine guyss...) Jokes aside, I'm not that drunk, but being tired + being slightly drunk is a bad combinaton...

well it's 2000 here. think i will switch to hot tea. need to decide what to the build on saturday. probably the DD since i need to get ctacking on it for a friend and the chinese treasure ship is too big to lug around. i will take my BRDM-2 since i need to mask stage 1 of the syrian police camo pattern.

Funny... it's Oh dark thirty in Austria where the sun will be coming up shortly... well into Friday nite on the Eastern seaboard in the Khakilakis (North Khakilaki that is...) and my nearby neighbor is drinking one of my favorite beverages at sundown here, while I sit here at work.... my my the wonders of the internet...

There.  Btw, best tonic water I've had is at Whole Foods. The 365 brand six packs.  It's a bit sweeter than some but it's so good.  I often just drink it by itself at work.  What's your preferred gin?  Remember, I get 20% off.     I like Tanqueray and Bombay Sapphire.

Also, I think this site needs a recipe thread and a drinking thread.  What say you?

Instead of mahi mahi and tea, I'd do a tea smoked mahi mahi.

No such luck, Wayne.  I'm still up as well.  Just finished dinner.   Now for a beer. 

Nothing like a night out drinking with the guys without ever leaving home.
